You need to start to understand what you do and who you do it for. This is never a demographic. It could be pregnancy – sports, couples, and small business owner’s or people who know that they need to start some regular self-care. Your niche is someone who you LOVE working on.  If you were told that you had to pick 1 type of person to work on forever – who would it be? If you were planning out your perfect day, which clients would you pick? Look at what the common denominators are in these.

Getting your business in front of people needs to happen online. The first thing we do when we want something is search for it online and if you’re not there – then you can’t be found. Super simple – get a website! Embrace social media, such an amazing platform that we get to utilize to educate and connect us to our target market.

De Bunking The Rebooking’s Myth – Why You Need To Step Up

So many people struggle with this. While I am not a subscriber to the belief that every single person needs another appointment – forever, I am a big believer in us stepping up and being the trusted adviser and advising your client of what you think they need, rather than shying away and not knowing what to do. The will sometimes leave the client in limbo thinking – what did I do wrong? I’m not sure what I’m meant to do next…  The thing is if you never ask, they won’t come back –when you give the opportunity – they will come back. Sure, some people might say no but you’ll get far more yes’es if you simply ask.

Heart Centred Love and Leadership

We can’t lead our business just with love – we can’t do it without it either. We need to know what we will stand for and what we will fight for. We need to really stand up for what we believe in and know how to get the result and impact we want in our business and this takes leadership, not compromising. But if that’s all we do – then it gets a bit intense – which brings us back to love.

We need to learn how to LEAD in our business in all areas – in bookings – re-bookings – no one is going to do this for us – we need to be the ones that commit and step up.

At the end of the day – we are in such a unique position as Massage Therapists as we are not restricted at all by marketing restraints and we do have the ability to utilize technology and to engage more people through online platforms.

When you start to embrace the business side of things, you will ensure you don’t get left behind and you will attract more of your ideal clients and create strong momentum that will enable rapid growth in your massage business.
